Thank you for visiting MJV Golf. My name is Mike and I look forward
to being your clubmaker. I have been building
custom made golf clubs for over 10 years. My work has been tested by
the PCS (Professional Clubmakers Society) and I am certified as a
Class A Clubmaker. My goal is to build custom-fit quality golf clubs that meet or exceed your expectations at a reasonable price.
I am also a competitor in many of the local " Long Drivers of America" contests. So far my longest drive in competition is 437 yards ( Hastings, Mn. June, 2005) using a 6 degree SMT Spectrum head and assembled with a SK Fiber Lite Revolution I shaft in x-flex. The total club length was 46.5" ( PGA measuring system). That is not something I could have achieved using OEM (Brand name) clubs bought off the shelf at the local chain golf stores.
All of the products I carry are high quality, and compare or
exceed the brand name clubs in price and performance. My primary function as a clubmaker is to help the customer understand the many different variables in choosing your golf equipment. There are no industry standards. A regular flex shaft from one manufacturer might be designed for a player with a clubhead spead of 80-90 mph, while another manufacturer's regular flex shaft will be designed for a clubhead speed of 90-100 mph. What does that mean for you? A compromise in accuracy and distance if you do not choose the correct shaft.
Golf clubs fitted and assembled by MJV Golf have several advantages over those you buy off the shelf at your local chain stores. Their product is designed for the average play, with average clubhead speed, average height, and average game. Our clubs are built to fit your swing! You should never have to "get used to" your new clubs. They should be fit and built around your swing.
MJV Golf does not charge extra for these services! It is something a clubmaker does as a service to ensure the customer has the best equipment for their golf game. No extra charge for cutting your clubs to a specific length. No extra charge for a specified swing weight. No extra charge for spine alignment. Go to your local golf retailer and ask if they are willing to wave these charges! Most don't even offer such services.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or special
requests on your order.
Thanks again,
MJV Mike
